Most often when I am talking with other webmasters and I bring up the subject of article writing, I often get a response like "I'd rather have a colonoscopy, I just can not write", or "my spelling is disgusting and my grammar is not much better". In my opinion, the first excuse is just a matter of attitude. The latter excuse falls on deaf ears because all major word processing software have great spelling and grammar checking abilities..
We're not speaking about something that could qualify for the Pulitzer Prize in literature, simply articles dealing with a topic that may be of interest to a group of people who also just happen to have an interest in your particular business endeavor or activity.
Perhaps not as stimulating as the college professor's situation of "publish or perish", many Internet marketers have found that the notoriety and traffic that articles will bring to their website is second only in importance to actually making sales.
When writing articles, begin by clearly defining what you wish to write about. Focus on the subject and the overall message that you want to communicate. Sometimes you will start with a title then expand from there, then other times the title will be the last part you write.

Read your article audibly to yourself and get a feel for the beat or rhythm. The readability of the complete article can be affected by changing the arrangement of words and/or exchanging one like-meaning word for another. The final goal is to invite readership.
